Student reading the online curriculum in the INT lab |
Our program currently has a student organization called INTO (Information Networking & Telecom Organization). This organization has monthly meetings, which usually involve a guest speaker and then a social activity. In spring semester 2012, we held a Texas Hold 'Em tournament with a Kindle as first prize. The organization is run by the student leadership team.
Being involved in INTO can have the following benefits:
- Looks great on a resume
- Allows for networking with alumni out in the industry
- Allows for tours of potential future employers' work environments
- Creates camaraderie among telecom and network students
- Skills can be learned that will benefit students out in industry
- IT'S FUN!
